Put On Lipstick

This is the third installment of a seven part blog series called “Keys for a Comeback” written to help businesses and non-profits dealing with challenges due to COVID-19.

Regardless of your preferred attire, there’s no question that there’s a correlation between the clothes you wear and the way you feel. Businesses, like people, can change their clothes (and their first impression) very easily. It’s the art of the makeover, and it goes a long way.

To shake things up, and to get eyes looking your direction, consider a large scale visual change somewhere in your brand experience. This could be anything from a complete re-branding to buying a new sign for your building. If you’re on a budget, you could have someone paint a mural on your wall or windows, or maybe you could wrap one of your vehicles in graphics that are bright and energetic.

Whatever you choose to do, make sure it’s noticeable and exciting. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, people want to enjoy their experience with you. Now, more than ever, you need to catch the attention of customers and clients. When something looks new, it sends a signal that the people running that business have a beating heart and a fresh outlook on life. Don’t you want those things?
